SURREAL FOR REAL

Project: Poster Design

Shona Heath is a British set designer who crafts sets for fashion editorials, advertising, and installation shows. 

The brief was to design a poster for a talk by Shona Heath at Chelsea College of Art, titled ‘Surreal for Real’. Shona’s work is defined by her feminine, surrealist style and her experimentations with form, scale, and colour, it was important to reflect an aspect of this in the poster design. I used collage as a way of representing the traditional layers of set design and also Shona’s tactile method of working. I played with scale and form to create a surrealist narrative.
